Historique

Rising Star Games est fondée le 10 juillet 2004 par Martin Defries, sous la forme d'une coentreprise entre Bergsala Holding et l'éditeur multimédia japonais Marvelous Entertainment. Marvelous Entertainment a cédé sa parte de 50 dans Rising Star Games à Intergrow, un autre éditeur japonais, en janvier 2010.  En janvier 2012, Rising Star Games ouvre un bureau Californie. Thunderful a acquis Rising Star Games de Bergsala Holding en juillet 2018, date à laquelle Ed Valiente devient son directeur général et Defries quitte l'entreprise.
