St. Leger irlandais
La St. Leger irlandaise est une course hippique de groupe I qui se court en septembre, sur la distance de 2 800 mètres, sur l'hippodrome du Curragh dans le comté de Kildare, en Irlande. La première édition s'est tenue en 1915.

C'est une course de plat réservée aux chevaux de trois ans et plus. À l'origine, la course était réservée aux 3 ans, mais s'est ouverte aux chevaux plus âgés en 1983. L'allocation s'élève à 350 000 €.
En Angleterre son équivalent est le St. Leger Stakes.
Histoire
L'événement a été établi en 1915. Le premier cheval qui a gagné les deux événements English et Irish St Leger était Royal Lancer en 1922.
Le premier gagnant de l'Irish St Leger a complété une Triple couronne était Museum en 1935 (il a gagné auparavant 2000 guinées irlandaises et le Derby d'Irlande). Depuis, le seul cheval qui a gagné les trois en même temps était Windsor Slipper en 1942.
