Gekko yakuensis
Gekko yakuensis est une espĂšce de geckos de la famille des Gekkonidae[1].
RĂ©partition
Cette espÚce est endémique du Japon[1]. Elle se rencontre à Yakushima et à Tanegashima[2] dans l'archipel Nansei et à Kyƫshƫ[3].
Description
Des cas d'hybridations avec Gekko hokouensis ont été observés[4].
Ătymologie
Son nom d'espÚce, composé de yaku et du suffixe latin -ensis, « qui vit dans, qui habite », lui a été donné en référence au milieu de sa découverte, l'ßle de Yakushima.
