Son aire s'Ă©tend du centre du Pakistan Ă travers l'Himalaya au nord du Yunnan et le centre de la Chine.
Habitat
Il habite les forêts tempérées.
Systématique
L'espèce Prunella strophiata a été décrite par le zoologiste britannique Edward Blyth en 1843, sous le nom initial d'Accentor strophiatus[1].
Sous-espèces
Cet oiseau est représenté par deux sous-espèces :
- Prunella strophiata strophiata ;
- Prunella strophiata jerdoni.
