Les archives de la société se trouvent dans le bâtiment Thomas McGavin sur l'ancienne gare de marchandises d'Ava dans la vallée de Hutt[2].
Ouvrages
La société publie un magazine, le New Zealand Railway Observer (ISSN 0028-8624) , qui a été publié pour la première fois par la New Zealand Railway Correspondence Society sur un Gestetner en 1944[3], et un bulletin Turntable . La société publie des livres sur des sujets ferroviaires. Il y a actuellement environ 25 livres disponibles, comme indiqué sur le site Web. La plupart concernent les chemins de fer néo-zélandais, mais il existe un livre Cane Trains sur les chemins de fer à Fidji .
Matériel roulant
La société possède des locomotives à vapeur A B 608 et X 442[4].
