Adam Yahiye Gadahn

Fils de Phil Pearlman, né à Orange County, Californie et de Jennifer, ils changent leur nom en Gadahn (Gédéon). Petit-fils de Carl Pearlman, urologue membre de l'Anti-Defamation League et militant sioniste et de Agnes Branch, chrétienne, il devient un étudiant contestataire à l'Université de Californie à Irvine, passionné de death metal, crée son propre groupe, Aphasia et contribue à un fanzine, Xenocide. Considéré après sa conversion à l'islam comme l’attaché de presse d’Oussama ben Laden, il apparait dans une vidéo pour célébrer les attentats du 11 septembre 2001, le 11 septembre 2012[2].
